My family and I have been cared for by Dr Maksoud for several years now. My late father for his mismanaged Type 1 Diabetes and after a short period of time of seeing Dr Maksoud he gave him a lung cancer diagnoses. Dr Maksoud successfully maintained his Diabetes after years of feeling so unwell. He also saw my Father regularly in clinic throughout his cancer treatment to ensure he was feeling his best. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Dr Maksoud consults me for Hyperthyroidism. After years of unsuccessful medication from the NHS, Dr Maksoud managed my thyroid and I felt really well. He suggested after some time I have a complete Thyroidectomy which I did on his advice and I feel incredible. Dr Maksoud still regulary sees me in his clinic and looks after all my general health and medication requirements. Dr Maksoud has became a very dear friend and I have great confidence in him and his vast knowledge. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Maksoud to anyone who has endocrine requirements.

The care I have received off Dr Maksoud over the last 15 years has been second to none. I suffer from PCOS & various other things & after numerous years of being undiagnosed I was finally referred to see Hisham under the NHS at Kings Mill hospital. Yes the waiting time then was at least 2 hours after your appointment time but do you know what... when the nurses came out & asked everybody in the waiting room if they wanted to see anyone else, everybody said No! You see the reason why he was always running behind is because he spends the time with you, listens to you & genuinely cares about every patient he sees. I was devastated when he left the NHS to go private & I decided to see another consultant on the NHS.. well after 1 appointment I went back to my doctor & asked for a referral to see Dr Maksoud again. He has literally changed my life, I have now with his help & expert management of my symptoms & medication lost 7 stone in total & have my PCOS totally under control. He has an infectious personality & is 1 of the kindest people I have ever met & pleased to call him not just my doctor but my friend. I genuinely cannot recommend Dr Maksoud enough & in my eyes he has changed my life! Thank you Hisham, you will never know how much you have changed my life & I am forever grateful!PS he is now very punctual with his appointments :) x

Dr Maksoud is an excellent consultant. He is extremely approachable and immediately puts the patient and relatives at ease, from the very first meeting. He is very polite, considerate, genuine and caring. His medical knowledge on endocrinology and internal medicine is second to none. He listens, understands and has an answer to every concern and symptom which is very reassuring. Never once is Dr Maksoud dismissive or rushes the appointment. He allows the patient time and never watches the clock. I have complete faith and trust in him as a professional and a person. I have been a patient of DrMaksoud for 15 years. He was able to diagnose and treat Adrenal Insufficiency which numerous GPs had failed to diagnose, over a period of 7years. He has been able to give me back a quality of life and in periods of remission, get my life and health back on track. I have recommended at least 5 patients to him, all who speak highly of his expertise. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Maksoud.

Dr Maksoud has been my consultant for approx 14 years, he was recommended to my by my then GP as I was struggling on standard thyroid T4 treatment. This dr listeners which in my experience is rare, no one knows your body better than you so his advise guides you to better health. It’s always a pleasure to go to my appointments as I always feel uplifted and energised after.

I've been a patient with Dr. Maksoud for over ten years now. After struggling to get the right advice from Doctors, and several misdiagnosis', I can still remember the moment that I received a call to confirm my first appointment. I was tempted not to attend as I had really lost faith that I could be helped. Little did I know that my whole life would change for the better, all from that first appointment. Dr. Maksoud takes the time to really listen to what is happening holistically, rather than focussing in on one small element of your symptoms. He instantly puts you at ease due to his kind and professional manner, and it's so reassuring to know that he's constantly seeking new innovations and treatment plans, improving his knowledge continually. His only agenda is to ensure your welfare, and improve your overall health and wellbeing. He's a rare gem in a very modern world.
